About The Role:

Graham is looking for someone with a technical understanding, creativity and an attention to detail to help respond to solicitations (i.e., Requests for Proposals (RFP), Expressions of Interest (EOI), etc.) with high quality, customer focused content. This position will interact with multiple teams within the organization to assist in the preparation of proposals. The Proposal Specialist will create cohesive and coherent narratives through the integration of information provided in various formats (pre-written, verbal, graphic). The Proposal Specialist will manage internal proposal deliverables relating to text and graphic development and will support team members in their tasks as necessary.

As a Proposal Specialist at Graham, you will:

  • Work within a team of high skilled technical professionals
  • Lead the proposal production process by liaising with contributors from all levels of the organization
  • Provide quality assurance for all documents and materials
  • Ability to read and understand the requirements within the solicitations and draft preliminary responses
  • Bring creativity to published and submitted documents
  • Facilitate reviews throughout the process and edit the final documentation
  • Ensure due diligence of proposal production and submission of a fully compliant bid
  • Serve as the primary contact for all facets of proposal development
  • Coordinate multiple groups in the preparation of proposals
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the team and the entire organization
  • Coordinating and arranging client events, meetings and conferences
  • Assisting with preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients
  • Writing and distributing briefing documents for internal and external meetings
  • Creating and maintaining client account plans and client databases
  • Understand the organization's business operations, including specific opportunities, competitive landscape and business/market trends
  • Evaluate relevant associations, memberships, events and/or conference opportunities that can positively impact the organization
  • Coordinate completion of client requests for prequalification and Expressions of Interest (EOI)

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Graphic Communications, Creative Writing, English, Journalism, Business Administration, or Marketing
  • Five to seven years' experience in proposal or professional writing preferred
  • Experience working in an engineering or construction environment preferred
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite of Software (specifically InDesign), Bluebeam is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of individuals
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
