The Sales Representative is responsible for addressing customer inquiries, complaints and processing transactions in a transportation and logistics environment. Duties include quoting rates, scheduling loads, and monitoring equipment utilization. This position requires excellent communication, the ability to solve complex problems and effective time management skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Communicate with customers by telephone, e-mail, or in person to provide information about products or services, book and enter loads, and obtain details of complaints

• Quote and negotiate freight rates with customers

• Communicate quoted rates and work orders to dispatchers, drivers, and other relevant employees

• Plan movement of bulk freight within Canada

• Monitor driver and equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules to minimize empty miles

• Maintain constant communication with customers, drivers, management, and fellow employees to ensure complaints and conflicts are identified and resolved

• Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems•Update and modify shared load schedule spreadsheet

• Nurture customer relationships and interpret and resolve issues or complaints to maintain good customer service and relationships with current accounts

• Other duties may be assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or GED
• Business Administration Certificate or CCLP Designation considered preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation industry
• Experience in equipment and industrial sales considered an asset
• Experience in transportation planning preferred
