The district sales manager reports to the regional sales manager. You will be responsible for managing business relationships with the independent dealers in your territory with respect to sales, marketing, distribution and development, in order to increase profits from Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo and Can-Am products in the encompassing district.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Present a business and marketing plan to the regional sales manager.
  • Meet regularly with current and potential dealers, and offer them the support they need to meet or exceed their sales targets.
  • Assist and advise dealers in promoting their products (shared-cost advertising, TV, radio, newspapers, trade magazines and demonstrations).
  • Provide dealer sales staff with training and refresher sessions on our products.
  • Motivate and encourage sales staff to give priority to our product lines over those of competitors offered in their stores (where applicable).
  • Represent the company at trade shows, races, open days and promotional events in your territory, and maximize their impact (sales).
  • Ensure that all dealers accept the clauses and procedures described in the distribution agreement.
  • Make recommendations to the regional sales manager on the development and update of the dealer network, and take appropriate action.
  • Advise (coach) dealers on finance and service to increase profits.
  • Provide timely itineraries, periodic accounts, and various reports and analyses.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A bachelor's degree in administration or a relevant field, and at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the recreational products sector.
  • Knowledge of finance, sales techniques, marketing and mechanics.
  • The ability to communicate with dealerships outside Quebec on a daily basis.
  • Dynamism, leadership and autonomy.
  • Good organizational skills and entrepreneurship (essential).
  • Willingness to travel and attend weekend events.
