TELUS is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Sector Account Manager to join our Commercial Mid Market team.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive technological solutions to our clients. Embodying TELUS's social values, you will apply sales strategies to optimize processes and results. You will manage a portfolio of 40 to 50 accounts, overseeing the entire sales cycle to ensure an optimal customer experience. The ideal candidate has proven experience in commercial sales within the technology or telecommunications sector, as well as a deep understanding of digital transformation and its impacts across various industries.

What you will do:

  • Own the executive-level client relationship and strategic business planning and apply diverse strategies to inform client decisions and shape relationships.
  • Champion PSO (Premier Sales Organization) methodologies, collaborating with clients and stakeholders to create strategic plans with clear goals. Consistently exceed PSO KPIs in Quantity, Quality, Velocity, and Balance, maintaining KPI hygiene independently.
  • Develop strategic account plans based on thorough understanding of clients' business operations and financial health to identify viable sales opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate risks, impacts, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Partner with the broader account team (other sales specialists, solution development, product managers, etc.) to create value propositions aligned to specific client needs based on business vision at a strategic level with the customer to achieve specific business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by developing innovative approaches and managing prospect inquiries for TELUS business solutions. Maintain comprehensive expertise in client industries and market trends to deliver value, both internally and across our target markets.
  • Manage potential leads for TELUS business solutions.
  • Prepare professional proposals targeted to the key decision makers (usually senior managers or C-Suite) that clearly communicate TELUS' first in-class solutions and value proposition to the customers' business problem.

  • Intermediate knowledge of English is required, because you will, on a regular basis, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its provincial scope.
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a sales environment.
