What is the opportunity?

We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Coordinator to join RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM), the asset management division of RBC. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Managing Director, Advisor Channel Sales, Eastern Canada and to the Director, Advisor Channel Sales, Business Development, Eastern Canada. You will act as the first point of contact, monitoring incoming activities to organize calendars and daily tasks as well as managing workflow, priorities, and expenses. This role will also take on office management and overall team responsibilities for the Eastern sales team.

What will you do?

  • Provide administrative support and act as office manager for Advisor Channel Sales for Eastern Canada.
  • Coordinate all administrative duties for Managing Director and Director, including calendar organization, scheduling, monitoring inboxes and email correspondence, expense and compliance management, etc.
  • Plan and book all travel, hotel, and car arrangements for Managing Director and Director.
  • Review sales team expenses monthly and ensure all expenses are submitted in a timely fashion. Submit expense claims for Managing Director and Director.
  • Plan, source, and execute weekly meetings, regional team meetings, and social events.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, reports, and other documents to support the administration of various national and team initiatives. Ensure documents are meeting ready.
  • Work to stay current with the Advisor Channel Sales activity calendar (e.g., product launches, national and regional events, sales management activities, etc.) to assist with coordination of communication and reporting activity.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all rules and regulations with respect to GAM policies, procedures, and guidelines.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales support capacity
  • Flexibility with respect to work tasks and managing priorities
  • Sound judgment with the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail

Nice-to-have

  • Experience working with Salesforce and a Sales CRM system, an asset
  • Completion of the Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • Mutual Fund industry experience
  • Knowledge of businesses being supported
