As a Medical Representative, you will be providing non-promotional medical support while educating the clinical practice community on ocular conditions and diseases. You will have the opportunity to develop long-lasting relationships with leading optometrists and eye care professionals in the Montreal area.
To achieve success in this position you will;
Work with field teams to provide logistical support with medical education events to ensure optimal event management. Respond to unsolicited requests for Medical Information from the clinical community in a fair, factual, balanced, and scientifically rigorous manner via the appropriate and preferred channel. Engage in scientific dialogue in response to unsolicited requests with HCPs around ocular health, enabling them to confidently discuss the portfolio with patients and the local eye care community and ensuring they are knowledgeable in identifying the right patient for the most appropriate treatments. Bring in value-added insights that inform Medical, Commercial, and Research & Development activities. Foster a collaborative working relationship and partner with matrix colleagues (e.g. medical science liaisons, sales, medical education etc.). Maintain expertise in evolving ocular health science, therapeutic areas, and competitive landscapes. Fully understand and comply with company standards and policies and with local codes of practice, guidelines and laws to ensure the strictest requirements are met.
What you bring to the table...
Science background such as a Bachelor of Science required, with the ability to understand and communicate clinical trial data, discuss mechanisms of action, and side effect profiles. Previous experience working in Optometry is a strong asset. Excellent interpersonal, engagement and communication skills. Strong ability to apply and leverage scientific and medical knowledge while demonstrating scientific credibility is essential. Team orientation and the ability to work closely with cross-functional partners. Demonstrated ability to confidently interact with HCP/stakeholders in face to face and virtual settings. Demonstrated strong organizational skills. Self-starter and innovator. Demonstrated professional and ethical behavior. Knowledge of regulations governing information provision to customers within the pharmaceutical industry.
