Duty Free & Exportation Customer Service Associate - Montreal Factory


This position is designed to handle and administer various transportation and customer service-related tasks within the Logistics Department, as well as product shelf-life handling. This position specifically deals with transportation requirements for finished goods, customs liaison and duty-free store order processing and exports to the US.

Position:

As a Duty free & Exportation Customer Service Associate, you will:

  • Order processing and coordinating orders, managing customs documents, organizing shipments, and handling customer service tasks. Responsibilities include maintaining reports on transactions, orders, and free goods, keeping detailed customer order records, and resolving customer complaints professionally to ensure high service standards. Craft annual strategic plan (A&SP), actionable brand plans and in-market tactics to achieve set KPIs in line with company and brand objectives for each market.
  • Monitor, analyze, and reconcile transport of outbound shipments from Montreal Plant. This includes security escort arrangements, organization of access codes, pick-up, delivery schedules and reconciliation of any shipment delays.
  • Create deliveries for inter-company shipments related customs documents and processes export orders to the USA, which includes preparing commercial documents and export declarations. Ensure export documents abide by government regulations to prevent penalties. Meet with the excise officer to assure that all paperwork is signed and accurate.
  • Manage the employee store, including preparing billing for head office, updating records, providing purchase deduction data to payroll, validating retirees' payments, and emailing the annual calendar. Responsibilities also include replenishing inventory, reconciling stock with SAP, correcting errors, updating prices and ensuring procedure compliance.
  • Monitor the shelf life of products and coordinate the isolation of expired products with 3rd party warehouses. Monitor dry stock inventory on a regularly ensuring products have the proper SAP status, coordinate product isolation at third party warehouses, process the stock movements and capture and communicate the new SAP product data to the third-party warehouses.
  • Cross train with all the other functions within the Logistic department, in order to serve as a backup during illnesses and vacations. To perform any other tasks given by the direct manager.


Requirements:

  • College Diploma, or University Degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Min 2 years experience in Logistics and/or Customer Service.
  • Fluent in oral and written English and French.
  • Warehouse operations knowledge: Order preparation, transport coordination and documentation, order-picking, stock accuracy, inbound, out-bound. Basic finance and import/export experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in SAP, MS Office applications with intermediate level skills in MS Excel and billing experience. Ability to work under pressure, in a team environment. Approaches challenges with confidence, optimism and a winning attitude.
