Accounting Technician (Management Accounting) - 12-15 month contract - Montreal

Position Purpose


The holder of this position performs various tasks supporting the accounting department, thus contributing to the factory's performance.

Responsibilities

  • Month end
    • Prepare and/or forward journal entries;
    • Enter manufacturing performance indicators in the global system;
    • Complete month-end closing cycles;
  • Participate in reporting activities with the Canadian and global head offices:
    • Conduct variance analysis
    • Prepare financial information
  • Participate in preparing various required government reports;
  • Participate in various internal control reports;
  • Participate in the accounting process for capital projects (budget, capitalization, amortization);
  • Participate in various inventory-taking processes;
  • Participate in overtime cost analysis;
  • Participate in any system and/or process improvement projects;
  • Assist in all other related duties.

Qualifications & Experience

  • College diploma and/or bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP integrated management system (an asset)

  • Bilingual: English and French
