What You'll Do:

Jumpstart Relationship Managers play a crucial role in representing the charity in the field by fostering relationships and evaluating programs and applications. They work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure Jumpstart meets its goals in a fast-paced environment. As key points of contact, they manage interactions with grant applicants, recipients, parents and caregivers, Canadian Tire Dealers, Store General Managers, and other representatives from the Canadian Tire Corporation. This multifaceted stakeholder management is essential for the success and efficiency of Jumpstart's initiatives.

  • Actively establish, build, and nurture relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

  • Foster awareness of Jumpstart programs & funding opportunities, and promote Jumpstart's vision to enable lifelong success through access to affordable sport through community events, meetings, and special initiatives

  • Manage and participate in the review of Community Development Grant applications & other Jumpstart programs as warranted & issue funding recommendations aligned to the local availability of funds to Jumpstart Finance and Senior Management

  • Demonstrate an understanding of how physical activity can drive social change/impact, promote inclusion, and foster positive youth development.

  • Conduct and lead the delivery of regular program assessments of Jumpstart grant recipients

  • Collaboratively develop and support the execution of customized regional business plans and Chapter forecasting to achieve financial and operational goals

  • Manage the administration of Individual Child Grants and provide assistance to Parents with applications

  • Enhance Engagement - Manage local communications plans and relationships with key Chapter stakeholders, including:

    • Canadian Tire Dealers and Store General Managers

    • Other Canadian Tire Corporation Banner representatives

    • Parents/Caregivers

    • Grant Applicants/Recipients

  • Support stewardship and recognition of local donors

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of relationship building experience and 2 years Management experience is an asset

  • University and/or College education

  • Sport and recreation experience is ideal

  • Bilingual (French) is an asset, but not required

  • This is a field-based position requiring regular travel (up to 50%) within your region and requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver's license and access to vehicle. The successful candidate will have to provide proof that s/he/they has a valid driver's license upon being hired.

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills

  • Ability to occasionally work out of the Toronto Home Office to collaborate with cross-functional teammates is an asset

  • Highly engaging with the ability to foster meaningful connections

  • Superior coordination, planning, and organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - oral, written, presentation and listening - comfortable having difficult conversations

  • Experience managing and analyzing budgets
