What you'll do
The Program Lead, who will be accountable for preparing Training Dealers for their career as Canadian Tire Associate Dealers. They will be accountable for assessing, training, and coaching candidates to become successful Canadian Tire Dealers who can run financially well managed and operational sound stores within the Canadian Tire Dealer Network.
In this role, you'll:
Work collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Senior Managers and Associate Dealers to develop and deliver training based on Canadian Tire and industry best practices, standards, and trends
Build and maintain key business relationships with SMEs to ensure program content is current and relevant to the business
Apply expertise in one or a combination of retail leadership, store operations, automotive service or ordering and inventory management to assess and coach new Dealers
Facilitate and/or support SMEs to deliver training
Apply your innovative thinking and knowledge of learning trends, tools and best practices to contribute to delivering best in-class training experiences
Act as an ambassador for the Canadian Tire Dealer brand
Contribute to the effectiveness of the overall Dealer Training team
What you bring
5 - 10 years experience working as a senior leader in a retail environment
In-depth knowledge and hands on experience with retail leadership, finance, operations, automotive service, ordering and inventory management
University or college degree preferred. A combination of experience, technical training and ongoing development will also be considered
Additional experience developing and delivering training solutions, mentoring and coaching others is beneficial
Facilitation and presentation skills to confidently facilitate group or one on one coaching sessions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a broad audience including senior leaders
Strong customer focus with emphasis on building and sustaining relationships
Exhibits high professional standards, integrity and personal ethical conduct
Proficient in Microsoft Office
English/ French bilingual an asset
Hybrid work environment. Local travel and working at various locations in the Greater Toronto Area may be required periodically.
