We are looking for a Manager, PMO to join BrokerLink and work out of any of our Alberta, Ontario or Atlantic region. On a Permanent FT Basis.

What the Role Entails:

Team Leadership

  • Inspire, lead and coach a team of Project Managers while building a highly positive and engaging work environment
  • Offer support and guidance to PMs to drive projects forward in a fast and agile environment
  • Foster a business & customer focused culture within the team and ensure good communication and collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Empower the team and be open, inclusive, caring and fair in all interactions.

Drive Business Results

  • Ensure the portfolio of projects produces good quality & timely results that support a good experience for brokers and customers.
  • Report status to business leaders with transparency and in clear business language.
  • Articulate risks clearly and bring them forward to leadership team, including impacts and recommended solutions.
  • Coach the PM team towards understanding of the business and identify concrete actions that can be pursued.
  • Drive results quickly, consistently and with a high degree of creativity.

Strategic Project Portfolio Management

  • Provide advisory to various groups to support the translation of strategy into projects & drive execution of the portfolio as planned.
  • Evolve the project intake process to ensure business focus and desired outcomes.
  • Plan & prioritize resources to ensure the highest return on investment for the organization.

The Successful candidate will have:

  • 10 - 15 years of operational leadership experience in the insurance, banking or related environment.
  • Proven ability to understand business strategy & goals
  • Experience managing projects/portfolios
  • Advanced ability to understand business goals & strategy and offer consulting on project prioritization, risks, scheduling conflicts, resource allocation etc.
  • High degree of professionalism, with demonstrated ability to live our values
  • Strong ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload for self and others.
