Franchise District Manager

Department: Franchise Development

Reports to: Senior Franchise Development Manager

Location: Southwestern, Ontario

Type of employment: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)

THE ROLE

A results-driven and dynamic Franchise District Manager with extensive experience in overseeing franchise operations, driving growth, and ensuring the consistency of brand standards across a network of locations. Skilled in Store development, training, operational management, and profitability analysis, with a strong ability to build relationships and provide ongoing support to franchisees. Adept at developing and executing strategies to enhance franchise performance, streamline operations, and increase market share. Proven success in improving operational efficiencies, meeting sales targets, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction within franchise operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Excited to embark on a journey with us? Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities in this role:

  • Accountable for establishing and achieving fuel margin plan targets, grow the customer base and develop
  • Oversee the Affiliate program
  • Work with suppliers and category Managers to build stronger offerings for our members.
  • Liaise between suppliers and members when service issues cannot be resolved by retailers.
  • Work at store level to help members become more profitable.
  • Work with Core-Mark Reps to assist in learning/implementing the Affiliate program including recruitment and ongoing service issues.
  • Review Quarterly Member Statements to establish members that may be noncompliant.
  • Discuss members' purchasing patterns with Core-Mark Reps and supplier contacts.
  • Manage income and Cost Center.
  • Work towards bringing new opportunities to the program.
  • Store assessments and follow-up visits.
  • Annual benchmarking.
  • Works with Shared Services to ensure efficiencies between Central and West divisions.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

We want you to join our team! Here's what we're looking for:

Education:

  • Post Secondary Certificate in Business Administration or College Degree in Retail Management or, other combinations of experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Proven track record of success in a retail environment, and a thorough understanding of the industry.
  • Strong communication, organization, and people skills.
  • Experience in entrepreneurial ventures would be an asset.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Working understanding of computer use in a work setting such as e-mail and MS-Office, Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Extensive travel required (Approximately 75%).
