What is the Opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in downtown Toronto is seeking an Associate to join a successful Advisory Team. You will provide quality client service and help deepen relationships with existing clients through ongoing, efficient support to both clients and the Advisor Team.

What will you do?

• Execute investment trades and portfolio management as coordinated by Advisor
• Provide trade surveillance and ensure accuracy of portfolio holdings relative to the Investment Policy Statement
• Work with Advisor to develop the investment models and portfolio rebalancing
• Coordinate position maintenance, book cost accuracy and execution of corporate reorganizations
• Monitor fixed income maturities for reinvestment
• Update portfolio watchlists on FactSet as required by the Advisor
• Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
• Coordinate and manage the team's Client Relationship Management platform (Salesforce)
• Coordinate and Manager the team's calendar
• Support Advisor team and client through the Wealth Management process by liaising with Financial Planning and banking partners and clients

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
• Working towards or completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) Course
• Microsoft Office products experience (e.g. Outlook)
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong time management and organization skills

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures. Previous experience with a discretionary team is an asset
• Experience in the securities industry is an asset
• CFP or PFP designation
• Previous experience with Salesforce is an asset
• Demonstrated proficiency in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
