What is the opportunity?
In this position, you will be a key member of the Investor Services Strategy team and will partner with a broad variety of stakeholders to help develop, articulate, and execute on RBC Investor Services' strategy. You will work with a team to deliver analysis and relevant insights to support executive decision-making. You will play an active role in identifying, analyzing, and addressing strategic opportunities for RBC Investor Services.
What will you do?
- Analyze and synthesize data from internal and external sources (including industry periodicals, press releases, etc.) to draft strategic reports
- Leverage storytelling and communication skills to prepare presentations and reporting for senior management
- Analyze asset servicing industry themes, competitive positioning, market attractiveness, competitor profiles and performance results
- Work with a team to support the Senior Management Team of RBC Investor Services on ad-hoc strategic requests and recurring business management deliverables
- Work closely with IS' partners (such as Sales, Finance, Technology & Operations, and Product) in support of strategic objectives
- Utilize financial data to develop insights towards strategic planning
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Undergraduate degree
- 4+ years' experience in consulting, business strategy, financial planning & analysis, research, or similar roles
- Knowledge of the financial services industry (nice-to-have: asset servicing industry)
- Analytical mindset and familiarity with financial data and metrics
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience preparing materials and presentations for executive audiences
- Strong professional collaboration skills with the ability to effectively communicate
- Curious approach with the ability to learn quickly
- Ability to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities for multiple teams
