We are looking for an Application Developer to join BrokerLink and work out of our Toronto, ON office. On a Permanent (FT) Basis.

What the Role Entails:

  • Designing, constructing, and upholding reusable code to improve systems or applications that fulfill user requirements.
  • Contributing to the project lifecycle: estimating tasks; delivering programming, testing, debugging, and documentation; adhering to deadlines and updating status.
  • Providing technical guidance in requirements analysis and solution design, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
  • Designing and conducting acceptance testing to enhance application quality and mitigate risk.
  • Proactively detecting and addressing impediments to task completion within estimated timeframes and planning corrective measures with updated estimates.
  • Regularly evaluating system performance to uphold quality standards, proposing enhancements, and implementing updates.
  • Offering ongoing third-level application support to minimize defect impacts and incidents.
  • Engaging in continuous education to suggest and engage in improvements to the development lifecycle and maintenance processes.
  • Collaborating with project teams and colleagues, providing support and guidance to achieve deadlines and objectives

The Successful candidate will have:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Technology
  • Microsoft certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with Microsoft Technology stack
  • Solid data integration hands-on development experience
  • Strong customer focus
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and time management, organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check
  • Proven experience as an Azure Cloud and .NET Software Developer
  • Strong proficiency with Azure Cloud Services including Azure Functions, App Services
  • Proficient understanding of data integration using REST API, SOAP Web Services
  • Familiarity with web services and XML standards
  • Solid experience with .NET Framework, C# development
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
  • P&C Insurance background and Python (nice to have)
