Location: Greater Sudbury Area (Lively) or Greater Toronto Area (Mississauga), Ontario

Currently, we have an opening for a Business Development Manager - GET (Ground Engaging Tools). In this role, you are responsible for providing process and commercial input to the Sandvik Parts and Service Business Line, resulting in a continuous development and growth strategy in order to maximize the profitable and sustainable wallet share for the GET and Bucket product streams. You are responsible for managing the category within the sales area and customizing to satisfy our customers' needs and requirements. This role is the formal link between Parts and Services, and GET and Buckets General Manager.

What you will be doing

  • Proactively drive safety as a business advantage.

  • Develop aftermarket strategies for GET and Bucket/Tubs Category products.

  • Keep up to date technically, in welding practices, steel quality & pricing.

  • Work with Market Intelligence on gap analysis on available fleet to identify opportunities for growth and sustainability.

  • Achieve business growth targets.

  • Support Sales Area with the introduction of new product offerings providing relevant sales and support information.

  • Support Sales Area pricing strategies across the GET and Buckets categories.

  • Strategic support in the mapping of market share by product offering and opportunity analysis by customer and site in conjunction with Sales Managers/Parts and Services Sales Representatives.

  • Provide internal stakeholders with regular status reports on business activities, opportunity development and overall market share of customer base.

  • Collaborate with internal teams on product offerings and inventory levels.

  • Develop offerings and strategies with a focus on Circularity wherever possible.

  • Assist with forecast/demand planning to ensure adequate supply with Product Line manufacture and Inventory Team.

  • Stay updated on competitor product development and product performance.

What you will bring along

Experience and Qualifications

  • Technical qualification (diploma or degree), Trade or Business related.

  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, parts and service business with experience in Ground Engaging and Wear products.

  • Field Sales experience within the mining industry and associated mining equipment.

  • Demonstrated experience in equipment and aftermarket sales and service with the ability to identify competitive strengths of product and service to improve sales growth, customer support and value selling.
