Are you thinking about advancing your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Mississauga is looking for a new Commercial Account Manager to join our Insurance Brokers team.

Your Role

Reporting to the Commercial Lines Manager, the candidate is a member of the Customer Service team and is responsible for servicing clients within the commercial lines division. In this role, you should be highly motivated to close new business to the fullest extent and maintain detail orientation while also developing relationships within commercial lines brokerage.

Your Responsibilities

  • Aggressively pursue and secure new insurance clients, focusing on identifying and closing profitable opportunities within target markets.
  • Strategically market client risks in collaboration with the Account Executive to place coverage with insurers and deliver tailored solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Conduct detailed market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making for both new and existing clients.
  • Build and maintain strong insurer relationships to negotiate favorable terms, streamline placements, and enhance service delivery for clients.
  • Partner closely with the Account Executive to proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, driving revenue growth across the portfolio.
  • Take ownership of the client renewal process, ensuring proactive follow-ups and timely completions to secure retention and expand account value.
  • Proactively manage all aspects of client account service coordination, including policy changes, additions, renewals, and cancellations, with a focus on client satisfaction and growth.
  • Oversee the preparation of client-facing materials, such as policy documents, certificates of insurance, invoices, and proposals, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Monitor and track policy documents to guarantee timely receipt and support a seamless workflow throughout the brokering process.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, conferences, and sales initiatives, contributing a results-oriented approach to support business development objectives.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Minimum 3 years in a brokerage as an Account Manager/Customer Service Rep; knowledge of most
    major markets
  • RIBO License required
  • EPIC Experience preferred
  • University or College Degree/Diploma an asset
  • CAIB, CIP, CRM or equivalent (or working towards) an asset
  • Understanding of the Property and Casualty insurance market; strong business acumen
