Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Acquire new business accounts with a focus on warehousing fulfillment and transportation services.
  • Achieve annual revenue growth targets (typically $1.5M billed revenue increase).
  • Develop and maintain strategic sales plans and customer account plans.
  • Provide PowerPoint presentations to educate clients on services.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competition.

Account Management & Customer Support:

  • Manage customer relationships through regular communication and follow-ups.
  • Ensure successful onboarding of new customers, including coordinating operational and IT requirements.
  • Maintain CRM updates, prepare reports, and participate in quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Periodically assist in training and working with account supervisors/managers managing current customers.

Operations & Coordination:

  • Work closely with operations management to align customer needs with service offerings.
  • Collaborate with various departments to open accounts, implement pricing, and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and weekly sales calls.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or Logistics.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in LTL transportation preferred.
  • Strong sales mentality with a hunter approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
