You as a Bid Manager, will:
Lead the end-to-end bid process, including reviewing bid opportunities for fit, qualification development and proposal submission.
Develop and executing bid strategies that align with the company's goals and client requirements.
Develop compelling and persuasive bid content, including executive summaries, value propositions, pricing models and technical responses.
Coordinate with various teams, including estimating, procurement, technical, legal and finance to ensure all aspects of a bid are addressed.
Work with pricing teams to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with bid requirements and profitability targets.
Prepare detailed maintenance cost estimates for a variety of projects including staffing, materials, subcontracting, and other services that are necessary to deliver projects
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents to determine the scope of work, materials, labor, and equipment costs.
Develop level of effort models for preventive and corrective maintenance of all facility components and other non-maintenance related tasks
Manage bidding resources and timelines to ensure on-time and high-quality proposal submissions.
Participate in negotiation sessions to secure favourable terms and conditions.
Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulations and industry standards
Is this the right role for you?
5+ years of experience as a bid manager, estimating or a similar role, preferably in the FM (Facilities Management) industry
You have a degree or diploma in business administration, finance, facilities management, a related field, or or an equivalent combination of training and construction experience.
Proven ability to develop cost effective estimates for facilities management delivery solutions including labour, subcontracts and materials/equipment
Experience extracting scopes of work from project documentation and soliciting compliant proposals from qualified subtrades
Ability to develop financial models and conduct data analysis using Microsoft Excel
Experience in managing bids for complex projects or large-scale contracts.
Demonstrated success in winning bids through effective proposal management.
Strong understanding of the bid process, proposal writing, development and contract negotiation.
Keen eye, attention to detail, and passion for delivering high-quality work.
You are flexible and open to changing priorities and multi-tasking simultaneously within compressed time frames.
You are well versed with Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
