The purpose of this role is to execute planogram changes and ensure stores optimize their merchandising for all Healthy Planet stores in the greater Toronto area. The majority of time will be spent in stores but some office work will be required. Previous merchandising and/or retail experience is a definite asset; training will be provided. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the category management team.

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement visual merchandise standards, policies and procedures of all assigned stores

• Implement floor set package designs that complement new merchandising strategies

• Handle inventory and display of merchandise in store

• Maintain records of planogram changes

• Some ordering/purchasing may be required

• Monitor and ensure store compliance to merchandising planogram

• Train stores on merchandising techniques and strategies

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Daily access to a reliable vehicle to visit stores

• Strong attention to detail. Cutting corners is not something you are comfortable with.

• Reasonable knowledge of Outlook and Excel

• Strong interpersonal skills - the role will involve interacting with customers, store staff (including managers) and head office category managers.

• Ability to move products and shelves on a daily basis.
