Description:

Reporting to the Provincial Sales Manager - On-Premise and Inside Sales, the Inside Sales Team Lead will represent our company and grow Sleeman Breweries' portfolio presence in the trade. Provide target planning and coaching support to the Inside Sales team as required. Act as the primary escalation point for external customer service issues. Perform inside sales calls for own territory. *Please note this is a hybrid work model, 3 days in office*

Responsibilities:

  • Provide input to develop and lead execution of strategic plans and targets for inside sales; work with Sales operations to ensure plans remain up to date and recommend changes to ensure the district team remains on track to achieve targets.
  • Provide direction and coaching to Inside Sales team to achieve sales targets, including volume, GM, share growth and distribution targets.
  • Act as the primary contact for other departments (e.g., Supply Chain, IT) for customer service and internal systems related issues. Act as the primary escalation point for external customer service issues.
  • Lead weekly team meetings to provide updates, feedback and guidance to sales team and to address customer concerns/issues in the sales process
  • Analyze and provide reporting on inside sales activities and identify continuous improvement opportunities, as required.
  • Establish business relationships with retail customers; advise/provide recommendations regarding Sleeman products, promotions, and sales opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve territory volume and gross margin targets.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information and sales data in customer relationship management software (CRM)
  • Review sales data and apply knowledge of the territory to identify opportunities and execute sales plans. Coordinate and execute various Key Account and Marketing programs and provide feedback regarding the design, implementation, and effectiveness of programs.
  • Remain updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify new sales opportunities
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a sales environment, plus at least 1 year of leadership experience
  • Post-secondary education in business administration or related field.
  • Food and beverage industry experience is an asset
  • Proven customer service experience required
  • Experience executing sales plans
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal; strong presentation skills
  • Strong analysis and planning skills
  • Computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office, including experience developing reports in Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate behaviors compatible with organizational values

Working conditions:
