Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our sales team to maintain and develop its sales in the North American market. Building on mature product lines, new innovative products and recognized as industry leaders you will be mainly responsible to maintain and develop our network of contacts and decision makers in your territory.

Working out of our Toronto's office, you will mainly be responsible for estimating and selling contracts for sprinklers and special hazards fire protection systems :

  • Gain new project business;
  • Meet with clients to identify their needs in terms of Fire Safety Systems including Sprinkler Systems;
  • Prepare work estimates and follow-up on quotations;
  • Review and interpret building plans and specifications;
  • Elaborate a work calendar if necessary;
  • Provide detailed cost estimations and identify additional charges if applicable;
  • Ensure an after-sale follow-up with the customers;
  • Prepare all documents necessary for opening contracts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • College diploma in fire protection or high school diploma and equivalent relevant experience;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the fire protection contracting industry;
  • Fire Protection design/engineering background (asset);
  • Knowledge of products used in fire protection and fire alarm and more specifically Notifier products (an asset but not required);
  • Sound knowledge of MSOffice (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook);
  • Familiar with CRMs (Sales Force, Hubspot, etc.) (an asset);
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to fire protection;
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and priorities;
  • Customer service oriented with strong communications skills.
