Freed Golf Membership Sales Manager

This is a key sales role, located in Ontario's beautiful cottage country. The successful candidate, reporting to the Director of Sales, will be responsible for driving Freed Golf membership growth through effective sales strategies, relationship-building and superior customer service utilizing the programs across all Freed Hotels & Resorts properties located in the Barrie, Gravenhurst and Huntsville communities. While embracing the concept of "Buy at One, Play at All", as Membership Sales Manager you will not only lead the sales activities on all golf membership programs, but your primary objective will be generating new leads and prospective members to the Resort properties. Working collaboratively with the Resort leaders the Golf Membership Sales Manager will ensure appropriate marketing strategies, sales targets and high-quality customer relationships are being delivered in every interaction across all Freed Hotels & Resorts communities. The position requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of the golf industry and the needs of prospective and current members.

As Freed Golf Membership Sales Manager you will:

  • Identify and pursue new membership opportunities by building relationships with prospective members, including individuals, corporate accounts, and local businesses.
  • Generate leads through various channels, including networking, digital marketing, cold calls, and events.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive offers and potential opportunities.
  • Qualify prospects and tailor sales presentations to meet their needs and interest showcasing the benefits and features of our golf membership programs.
  • Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing the membership deal.
  • Utilize a customer relationship management (CRM) system to track leads, interactions, and sales progress.
  • Conduct personalized tours of the golf course, clubhouse, and other facilities to potential members.
  • Achieve sales targets and goals as set by Leadership.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to prospective customers while working with the Resort Leaders to answer any questions or concerns.
  • Plan and execute membership promotional events, open houses, and member referral programs to drive engagement and increase memberships.
  • Work with marketing teams to create attractive promotions and campaigns for new and renewing members.
  • Coordinate with the Resort and golf operations teams to ensure a smooth transition for new members.

Our ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

  • 5 + years of proven experience in a senior sales role, preferably in the golf or hospitality industry.
  • Degree/Diploma from an accredited university/college in Business Administration, Sports Management, Sales & Events, Marketing or related major.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self starter and highly motivated.
  • Flexible schedule, available to participate in local community activities in the evenings and weekends.
