The East Region Senior Sales Manager, GE Renewable Energy Onshore Wind is responsible for driving profitable growth in the onshore wind portfolio through increasing sales of GE's world class wind turbines and services. In this role, you will maintain existing customer relationships, develop new clients, create product demand, and demonstrate an ability to work closely with product management, services, supply chain, finance commercial operations, and project execution teams. Assigned accounts likely to be primarily Canadian with some U.S. customers also possible. Preferred location is Quebec or Ontario Province.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the East Region Senior Sales Manager, GE Renewable Energy, you will:
Identify, create, and build close working relationships with all key personnel at assigned accounts and develop a thorough understanding of their strategies and needs.
Promote a customer centric mindset within the Renewable Energy business.
Provide commercial and technical assistance to assigned accounts and foster the development of their renewable energy strategies
Insure GE products and services have favorable consideration in all projects at assigned accounts
Understand the impact of national and regional market drivers, financing and competitiveness of GE's Renewable Energy products and services
Identify project issues early and anticipate competitor moves
Stay current with the development of GE's new Renewable Energy products / services and effectively communicate their value to assigned accounts
Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities with assigned accounts
Identify, understand, and communicate to the Renewable Energy business, customer critical issues
Work effectively in a team environment with Commercial Operations, Technical Operations, Engineering, Finance, OTR (order to remittance) and Services to insure the most efficient use of all resources
Integrate broader GE Vernova products and services into both strategic and transactional activities and opportunities
Participate in and support renewable energy trade shows, conferences, and other market development activities
Maintain accurate / current project and opportunity information within the on-line Sales Force application tool and manage the ITO (Inquiry to Order) process for assigned accounts
Participate in annual sales and customer planning processes
Be accountable for orders, sales, pricing / profitability, cash, risk assessment, terms & conditions, and customer satisfaction.
Perform any other actions required by management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or business from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience selling capital equipment and/or long-term services associated with such equipment, preferably within the power generation industry.
Desired Characteristics:
Fluent in French Canadian & English languages
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Canadian and/or U.S. Power Generation Industry
Embraces flexibility in role to not only lead sales efforts but be willing to lead commercial operations and/or technical topics for assigned customers, if needed.
Ability and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously
Experience and confidence with executive level engagement
Proven track record of meeting performance objectives
Direct, C-level contract negotiating experience
Master's Degree in an engineering discipline or business from an accredited university or college
Knowledge of related products, services and markets
Practical understanding of current / emerging requirements for renewable energy / power generation markets, and customer financial drivers and needs
Ability to influence key stakeholders and focus on priorities
Proven ability to operate in a team environment and work in a matrix organization
Strong interpersonal, team building, and negotiation skills
Ability to work with colleagues and customers at all levels of the organization
Self-starter with high energy and the ability to energize others
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
