We have an opening for a Group Home and Auto Relationship Specialist to join our Virtual Group Team in Nova Scotia on a Permanent Full Time Basis.

Individuals in this position will focus on growing the Group Home and Auto Insurance portfolio within BrokerLink. This will include existing group association clients, and employer groups, as well as prospecting/net new. They will focus on client relationships, building awareness within BrokerLink nationally and insurer relationships.

What you will be doing:

  • Working with the National Sales Manager, responsible for the development, implementation and execution of Group Home and Auto account relationship strategies, including marketing plans and budgets.
  • Nurture Group Home and Auto client relationships to ensure they are solid. Provides support to key group contacts as warranted, ensures internal stakeholders are engaged and deliverables are met, and acts as a secondary resource to the stakeholder.
  • Works in conjunction with Branch Managers, National Sales Manager, and Director, employees to execute Group Home and Auto objectives including the identification of new groups.
  • Build communication strategy to increase awareness of Group Home and Auto within BrokerLink through things such as branch visits and NCT meetings. Effectively communicate and collaborate with the internal team to maximize sales, customer satisfaction and meet / exceed assigned objectives & targets.
  • Provide ongoing training, through orientation/onboarding, special presentations, sales training and customer service to strengthen BrokerLink's brand in the program space.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationship with our insurance company partners and develop effective communication channels.
  • Analyze business opportunities for groups; make recommendations to assist branch offices in the development of their specific business plan. Responsible for sales planning process and Group contract administration including quarterly administration payments (where applicable).

What you bring to the table:

  • High School Diploma and/or Post-Secondary Education
  • A valid insurance license for Nova Scotia or willing to obtain
  • 1-3 years of related experience with a basic understanding of PI/CI/Group benefits
  • Experience with business development, relationship management, marketing strategies/ plans, and budgeting
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Ability to thrive and be successful in a fast-paced virtual team environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Ability to pass a credit and criminal background check
