About the Organization | The mission of the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute (BHCRI) is to facilitate and foster the best cancer research in Atlantic Canada as an inclusive and collaborative community of patients, caregivers, learners, researchers, and health care providers working together toward better cancer prevention, treatment, survivorship and cures. The BHCRI hosts training, research and patient partners programs to unite the research community. Job Summary | Reporting to the Scientific Director,the BHCRI administrator oversees relationships with the BHCRI community, which includes our supporters/donors, patient partners and people with lived and living experience, trainees, researchers and clinical care team members. A key function of this role is interaction with the administration at our associated institutions and especially at Dalhousie, where this position will be located. The Administrator of the BHCRI liaises with each of its committees to provide support to its members. In this role, the administrator will be central in managing the day-to-day operations of the BHCRI in service of its accountability, communication and growth. More broadly, the administrator will be involved in the implementation of BHCRI's strategic plan and new initiatives, working alongside BHCRI's existing committees and leadership team. |
