Your Role
As a Sea Logistics Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for the development of the business/sales with a focus on selling sea logistics products within your assigned area or sub-region. Additionally, you'll sell other products/services within Kuehne+Nagel and manage/grow new business accounts within your portfolio.
Your Responsibilities
Maximize sales growth through the development of new lane segments, product marketing and customer support strategies.
Develop a clear strategy to cultivate existing customer relationships for cross-selling opportunities.
Generate and close new business opportunities and develop a strategy for account qualifications.
Ensure revenue growth, meet or exceed company sales goals and targets.
Develop and manage assigned customers.
Create and manage a sales plan and execute that plan to success.
Demonstrate expertise on the Sea Logistics product/service offerings and manage the sales of these offerings in a disciplined and direct manner.
Interact with clients, schedule meetings, make presentations, and negotiate rate quotations with comfort and ease.
Ensure all customers activities is recorded in company CRM system and develop customer intelligence.
Service all orders, quotes, follow-ups and customer communication.
Produce a sales activity report for management on a weekly basis summarizing activities and new revenue opportunities based on CRM system.
Support Sea Logistics Product Management through competitive analysis, initiating improvements to the service offering, taking an active role in improving Sea Logistics marketing materials.
Your Skills and Experiences
2+ years field sales experience (hunting and farming) within the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
1+ sea logistics experience selling services including FCL, LCL, special equipment, consolidations, trans-loading and drayage services.
Undergraduate degree or college certificate in relevant field.
Experience with logistics processes and solutions
