POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Fund Development Coordinator will work with the fundraising team to manage Klinic's fundraising database, and develop a portfolio of programs including annual giving, stewardship, grants, and events. The position will be responsible for maintaining several key relationships while promoting Klinic's mission through strategic, community-centric engagement and communication. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and can demonstrate successful fundraising experience securing gifts.

The position is scheduled primarily for days with some evenings and weekends required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Please note that an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the fundraising sector or in external relationship management such as sales and/or account management
  • Thorough knowledge of fundraising best practices and concepts
  • Proven experience executing fundraising campaigns and meeting targets
  • Demonstrated experience with fundraising databases such as Raiser's Edge or DonorPerfect
  • Experience using communication tools such as Canva and WordPress
  • Familiarity with the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action and the MMIWG2S+ Calls to Justice and demonstrated commitment to disrupting all forms of racism and oppression, including homophobia and transphobia, within systems and practices
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills coupled with an ability to manage competing demands while meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and practices
  • Possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Must obtain and maintain clear Criminal Record Check and Abuse Registry checks

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Management and Administration

  • Manage and oversee all aspects and functions of the donor database
  • Ensure best practices for processes are created, continually reviewed and filed where necessary for consistency of work
  • Perform necessary analysis and cleanups to ensure high integrity of data
  • Work with the finance department to ensure back-end of donations is accurate and up to date
  • Provide regular reports such as grants, donor reports, stewardship reports, etc. as required to monitor progress of annual fundraising goals, as well as donor acquisition and retention
  • Track and analyze data for campaigns to assess performance and create insight for ongoing improvement
  • Prepare and distribute agenda and meeting minutes and bi-monthly fundraising reports to the board of directors and fund development committee

Fundraising and Stewardship

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of programs and ensure analysis and continuous evaluation of goals and metrics to reach annual target goals
  • Oversee moves management to build donor pipeline of current and prospective donors, ensure robust stewardship strategies are in place and continuously monitored
  • Track donor correspondence and interactions in donor database to support moves management processes
  • Managing individual relationships within respective portfolio to ensure timely and strategic correspondence
  • Develop and implement strategies to highlight donor impact through events and stewardship activities
  • Work with Klinic teams and staff to understand departmental needs to demonstrate donor impact
  • Lead all aspects of Klinic-run and third-party events including oversight of project management, logistics, communications coordination, and measuring success/outcomes where applicable
  • Work in partnership with Klinic's communication department to plan/develop materials and actively promote campaigns
  • Assist in drafting and maintaining internal/external communications and correspondence including newsletters, writing and mailing thank you cards, letters etc
  • Research and implement best practices as it relates to portfolio of programs

SALARY $25.510 to 33.837 per hour
