Position: Account Executive, Partnership Marketing

Department: Partnership Marketing

Reports to: Senior Manager, Partnership Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Partnership Marketing (PM) team is a major driver of revenue and creator of future revenue visibility for Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE). The PM team is tasked with delivering industry-leading value to partners and protecting and growing CSE's partnership revenue. The Account Executive will do this by building incredible relationships, aligning with our partners' business needs, and delivering contractual and new value.

This role will focus on:

  • Overseeing partner executions across all CSE properties (Vancouver Canucks, Abbotsford Canucks, Vancouver Warriors, and Surge)
  • Actively tracking value delivery throughout partnership terms and ensuring delivery of all contractual benefits
  • Maintaining a strong presence at Canucks and Warriors home games, and traveling as necessary for relationship building and value delivery
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with current CSE partners
  • Establishing clear, quick, and open lines of communication with partners and key stakeholders demonstrating responsiveness to their needs and asking questions to drive their business forward
  • Prioritizing face-to-face opportunities with our partners
  • Maintaining a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving and managing feedback
  • Understanding the specific business of each of their partners and identifying ways to deliver on objectives
  • Fostering a creative environment that inspires new ideas, programs, and activations; with a key understanding of how to effectively curate them for our partners
  • Actively monitoring all elements of the sports, entertainment, leisure and service industries for inspiration from best practices that can be utilized in our business
  • Consistently strategizes for business and relationship growth
  • Working with the Partnership Strategy team to develop creative and customized solutions for partner growth, renewal, and upsell opportunities
  • Leading renewal conversations to grow investment from our current partners
  • Capitalizing on opportunities to upsell and understand how to convert them successfully
  • Strong understanding of CSE revenue goals and helps develop paths to reach targets

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 1-2 years' experience in partnership activations
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as marketing or business management
  • Experience planning and coordinating events, conferences, and/or promotions
  • Excellent people and communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients at all levels within an organization
  • Highly organized with outstanding administrative and time management skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Dynamic, hardworking, confident; a go-getter, with drive and initiative
  • Committed to ensuring superior customer service and supporting the team
  • Self-starter who can multitask and work with minimal supervision
  • Dynamic presentation skills and storytelling capabilities
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required
  • This is an onsite role at our office in downtown Vancouver
