Reports to: Senior Manager, Partnership Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Partnership Marketing (PM) team is a major driver of revenue and creator of future revenue visibility for Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE). The PM team is tasked with delivering industry-leading value to partners and protecting and growing CSE's partnership revenue. The Account Executive will do this by building incredible relationships, aligning with our partners' business needs, and delivering contractual and new value.

CSE REVENUE TEAM: The CSE revenue team's core belief is growth - constant emphasis on growth of our members/partners, revenue, team members, and skill development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Growth & Renewal

  • Consistently strategizes for business and relationship growth
  • Works with Partnership Strategy team to develop creative and customized solutions for partner growth, renewal, and upsell opportunities
  • Leads renewal conversations and aims to grow investment from our current partners
  • Capitalizes on opportunities to upsell and understand how to convert them successfully
  • Strong understanding of CSE revenue goals and helps develop paths to reach targets

Customized & Innovative Approach

  • Understands the specific business of each of their partners and identifies ways to deliver on objectives
  • Fosters a creative environment that inspires new ideas, programs, and activations; with a key understanding of how to effectively curate them to our partners
  • Actively monitors all elements of the sports, entertainment, leisure and service industries for inspiration from best practices that can be utilized in our business

Deliverables & Execution

  • Oversees partner executions across all CSE properties (Vancouver Canucks, Abbotsford Canucks, Vancouver Warriors, and Surge)
  • Actively tracks value delivery throughout partnership terms and ensure delivery of all contractual benefits and more
  • Maintains a strong presence at Canucks and Warriors home games, and travels as necessary for relationship building and value delivery, etc

Relationship Management

  • Dedication to building and nurturing strong relationships with current CSE partners
  • Establishes clear, quick, and open lines of communication with partners and key stakeholders demonstrating a responsiveness to their needs and asks questions to drive their business forward
  • Prioritizes face-to-face opportunities with our partners
  • Maintains a solution-oriented approach to problem solving and managing feedback

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years' experience in partnership activation
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as marketing or business management
  • Experience planning and coordinating events, conferences, and/or promotions
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within an organization
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented with outstanding time management skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Dynamic, hardworking, confident; a go-getter, with drive and initiative
  • Committed to ensuring superior customer service and supporting the team
  • Self-starter who can multitask and work with minimal supervision
  • Dynamic presentation skills and storytelling capabilities
  • Experience drafting and editing business proposals is an asset
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends throughout NHL, AHL, and NLL seasons
