Description

To coordinate the Christmas Kettle Campaign in Trail, building on and strengthening community partnerships during our annual fundraising campaign

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre campaign:

  • Works with a small team, coordinating all aspects of the Christmas Kettle Fundraising Campaign
  • Promotes the Campaign through community presence, social media, phone calls etc.
  • Strengthens relationships with management and leadership at all kettle locations; and is responsible to act as the liason
  • Recruits / trains/ schedules / supports kettle workers and volunteers
  • Works with lists of previous volunteers/ community churches & organizations / schools/ businesses to fill kettle shift positions

During campaign

  • Deliver and pick up kettles from locations daily (in work vehicle) ensuring the security of donations
  • Keeps accurate records of volunteer informations/ shifts&locations
  • Host a kettle shift as needed to fill absences
  • Assist in kettle donation counting
  • Continual recruitment for kettle shift workers
  • Visit kettle hosting locations to check in on volunteers and assess the sites as needed

Post campaign

  • Ensures donors /volunteers/workers/partnerships are all thanked
  • Retrieve all kettle equipment & supplies from locations - assessed / cleaned/organized
  • Take care of relevant responsibilities as they pertain to the tip tap machines
  • Prepare statistical data as required
  • Prepare an overall report for the kettle campaign

October 2024 - January 2025

HOURS: 80 Hours bi-weekly

Monday - Saturday (flexibility in day to day scheduling)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education, Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Completion of high school diploma.
  • Valid Drivers License and clean drivers abstract

Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements

  • Up to three months of related experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Previous fundraising and supervisory experience
  • Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality with professional ethics and a balanced sense of fairness and flexibility.
  • Able to work cooperatively in a team setting with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a professional distance when dealing with clients.
  • Experience working and leading volunteers will be an asset

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

  • Background check consent.
  • A clear vulnerable sector screening.
  • A clean drivers abstract.
  • Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training.
