About the Role

As part of our global expansion, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive / Manager to join our growing team. This pivotal role is focused on driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities in emerging markets and customer sectors. You will leverage ABM's existing portfolio of products and services to expand our reach and customer base. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in business development, an understanding of the life sciences or biotechnology sector, and the ability to build lasting relationships with potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities in emerging markets and customer sectors.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive growth and expand ABM's footprint across various industries.
  • Promote abm's portfolio of products and services to new customers, ensuring value propositions are aligned with customer needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and potential clients to cultivate long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and product development teams to align efforts and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients, and negotiating contracts and agreements to secure new business opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to develop business development strategies.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs related to new business acquisition.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the life sciences or biotechnology sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the biotechnology or life sciences industry, including an understanding of products, services, and market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and securing new business from diverse markets and customer sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify key market trends and opportunities.
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales tracking software.

Compensation

  • Competitive compensation package with base salary, commission and bonuses based on experience, qualifications and competencies

Work Location

  • This is an onsite position at our headquarters in Richmond, BC.
  • Candidates must be available to work onsite from the start date. No relocation allowance provided.
