What is this opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Langley branch is currently seeking an Associate to assist an with our investment team. The successful candidate will possess a passion for service excellence, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.

What will you do?

Client Service

  • Execute activities and continuous client contact as per Advisor's business plan, client service plan, review schedule.
  • Coordinate meetings for advisors with their clients / prospects - handle logistics, prepare meeting room, welcome clients, execute post-meeting tasks.
  • Help manage incoming communications; e.g., answer phone, triage Advisor's e-mails

Account Administration

  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients: manage timelines and key dates for accounts. (shared responsibility with current Admin Assistant)

General Business Administration

  • Coordinate with advisor any client events, manage invitations and logistics, RSVPs and event execution and follow up.
  • Assist Advisor with managing an RBC partner and COI service plan and execution of the plan.
  • Assist with preparing mail outs of client info packages, prospectuses, newsletters, invitations to seminars, etc.
  • Assist with day-to-day marketing tasks and social media maintenance.
  • Ensure team processes are current and strive for efficiencies.

Marketing & Business Development

  • Work closely with RBC WMC Marketing partners to design/build/manage team's website, including maintenance and posting new content for clients.
  • Execute the creation of marketing materials using content creation, management, and publishing tools while adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Oversight of key metrics for tracking efficacy and impact of various marketing initiatives and of website activity.
  • Observe social, economic, and political trends that could affect the organization, and generate knowledgeable recommendations to enhance the team's image based on those trends.
  • Lead client events with the advisor and any sponsors, including event logistics, invitations, follow up with invitees, execution of event and follow up.
  • Use innovative and creative ideas to suggest business development activities for the team.
  • Create new content for social media accounts for the Advisor/team, manage social media using approved platforms only with strict adherence to RBC policies
  • Work with the Advisor to build and manage a COI service plan with external COIs and RBC Bank partners.
  • Track any changes in COI/bank partners to ensure connections with key partners are managed.
  • Provide world class client service to our valued clients

What do you need to succeed?

  • Successful Completion of CSC/CPH, or willingness to complete within 6 months of start date
  • Exceptional client service skills and experience
  • Administrative experience

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge around Dominion Securities systems an asset
  • Undergraduate degree
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the investment field working as an assistant/associate

The expected base salary range for this particular position is $37,500 - $45,000 -- depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
