Job Summary:

The Field Sales Representative in Grande Prairie, Alberta will report directly to the VP of Sales, Canada and is responsible for working with the District Manager to maintain strong business relationships with existing clients and more importantly, the development of new accounts in the Grande Prairie and Northwestern AB/NE BC Region.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating sales revenue to meet or exceed assigned sales projections by giving interactive sales visits to customer locations at a local office and field level.
  • Sales and marketing of primarily inspection services (Wellsite, Plant and Drill Pipe) with secondary focus on sucker rod services/guides and coating services, as well as transportation services at a field level for Tuboscope.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives for above listed products and services.
  • Completion of reports on a timely basis, as they relate to sales and sales analysis of the region activity including input into CRM database.
  • Maintain contact with an established customer base; identify and establish new clients.
  • Communicate and strategize with the sales team on all related client issues.
  • Prepare and deliver bids for customers with a follow up report to Sales Manager
  • Work in conjunction with operations personnel to ensure above expected customer services are achieved.
  • Work with technical support and customers to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
  • Evaluate market requirements and competitor capabilities.
  • Assist in credit worthiness assessments and collection of all delinquent accounts.
  • Attending functions when necessary to keep in contact with customer.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Sound understanding of inspection process is an asset.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to professionalism and customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Live in the Grand Prairie area.

HSE Requirements:

  • Squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, ladder work, stair climbing, walking on rough ground, indoor and outdoor work, exposure to change of temperature and humidity, exposure to dust fumes and gases, working near moving equipment and working from heights.
  • HSE Orientation.
